Delete your account
Get Subby · Developer: Lets Have Coffee (PTY) LTD
You can delete your Get Subby account and its associated data at any time, either in the app or by sending us a request by email. You do not need the app installed to request deletion.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open the Get Subby app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Account settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You will be signed out and your account will be scheduled for deletion.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
Email privacy@getsubby.co.za from the email address registered on your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. Include your name and registered email address. We may contact you to verify that you own the account before deleting it.
Cancel your subscription first
Paid plans are billed by Google Play or the App Store. Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions, or in your Apple ID settings, to stop future charges.
What we delete
- Your account: name, email address, mobile number, password hash and profile photo.
- Your directory listing, including business details, description and images.
- Projects you own and their content: budgets, cost lines, tasks, snags, site book entries, inspections, minutes, variation orders, payment claims, quotes, and uploaded photos, videos and documents.
- Device and usage data linked to your account.
What we keep, and for how long
Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request. Some information may be kept longer where the law requires it:
- Subscription and transaction records needed for tax and accounting, kept for up to 5 years.
- Records needed to resolve a dispute or comply with a legal request, kept until the matter is closed.
- Content you contributed to another user's project (for example a quote or comment) may remain visible to that project's owner, with your name removed.
- Encrypted backups are overwritten on a rolling cycle within 30 days.
